“It is impossible to say how first the idea entered my brain; but once conceived, it haunted me day and night.”

In the parlor stood a solid oak box adorned with a raven’s head, referred to as ‘The Poe Box’. Upon opening the box, it revealed a collection of tarot-sized cards, each bearing scenes from Poe’s macabre literature. As the narratives unfurled before the gathering in the dimly lit room, one particular story seemed to have an almost palpable presence.

The cards were shuffled and laid out upon the table. Without glimpsing, a participant selected a card, guided only by intuition, and placed it into the box. The box was held by another member of the group, she was asked to name the card in the box. An impossible task! For she had not seen it nor possessed the gift of clairvoyancy!

Yet, in a moment of surreal revelation, almost as if descending into madness she knew!

“It is the beating of his hideous heart!” she shrieked.

With trembling hands, the box was opened, unveiling the card that had lain concealed: ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’.

It’s alive!!!

Well, it’s capable of a heart beat at least, under your control via a remote. The participant will feel a haptic heartbeat at your command. Of course, the device can be used for much more than the above effect, imagine the PK touch possibilities! I will share some ideas on the instructional video.

Included with Tell-Tale are 6 tarot sized cards with illustrations from various works of Poe. You will of course get a duplicate ‘Tell-Tale Heart’ for the switch and the cards (7 in total) are marked in a way that is very easy to spot in performance even in low light, but will go unnoticed by your participants. Each card is individually hand aged and signature waxed!

Knowledge of Poe’s stories is preferable but not essential as they’re discussed on the instructional video so you can craft your own presentation accordingly.

This is an extremely limited release and as such there are only 11 copies in existence, 10 of which are for sale, each coming with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
